Would you like to prepare for the second exam in a module? We offer revision courses for various lectures in which students who already know the module, can repeat the material from the semester in the form of tutorials.

FAQ
Yes. The revision courses are an offer from the Fachschafts' Council Physics/Astronomy to help you with your preparation for the second exams.
We try to cover many of the Bachelor's modules, especially Mathematics for Physicists I-III, Experimental Physics I - V and Theoretical Physics I - IV. We also try to find tutors for the Master's module Advanced Quantum Theory. Unfortunately, we can't always find enough tutors to cover all subjects.
We can't always find tutors for all subjects, which is why there may be no revision course for some modules. If you are still looking for help, you can take a look at the tutoring lists.
The offer is organized by the Fachschafts' Council Physics/Astronomy. Within the Fachschafts' Council, there is the elected committee for revision courses, which is responsible for organizing the courses.
The courses are held by students who are already more familiar with the subject matter of the relevant module.
In principle, anyone who passed the module at least one year ago can give a revision course. However, preference is given to people who have tutored the module themselves during the semester and are therefore familiar with the style of the current lecturer.

Yes, if a person takes on a revision course, they will be paid accordingly. In general, we employ tutors for 36 hours, the money comes from the department's quality improvement funds (QV funds).
Important note: Unfortunately, we cannot employ students who have a permanent position at the university (especially doctoral students, in some cases Master's students). Please write to us anyway, perhaps we can find an alternative.
The individual dates have different syllabi that cover different topics of the respective lecture. Depending on the tutor, it is also possible that individual tutorial dates (like the lectures) build on each other. It is therefore advisable to attend all of them if possible.
